Welcome to ultimish.com, the website that offers a forum for women our age(ish) who are working to balance everything: family, children, romance, career, personal time, gym time, finances, friendships...the list goes on and on, doesn't it?
Here at ultimish, you'll find entries of those I personally depend on time and time again: ladies in my posse with whom I can usually share a bottle (or 3) of wine and can talk about this stuff in person. They continually pick me up after I've fallen (yeah, that's not a metaphor...I actually fall down a lot, but sure...figuratively, too I guess), so who better to ask? Plus, they are all kinds of awesome in their own, respective rights, and you will probably want to be their friend, too.

1) white-knuckle the safety bar while repeating your mantra "I can do this! This will be fun," through clenched teeth
2) fearlessly throw your arms in the sky as you laugh in the face of danger (even on the loopty loops), or
3) are a part of the Dramamine set and got dragged into this "adventure" against your better judgement, the fact is none of us are disembarking until the car has come to a complete stop, and the ride is officially over. And believe me, I praise you and all your snowflakey specialness, but you are unlikely to be the first woman to be dealing with...well, anything really.
That’s the mission of this site: to share experiences, offer ideas, sympathize, empathize, encourage rather than judge. Because, listen, I admit, I used to live by Clairee's motto: If you can't say something nice, come sit by me! (I am still not quite perfect, and I do love me some snark every now and then), but on the whole, I am kind of sick of all the gossip and women-hating that seems to be contagious, especially amongst other women. Have you noticed that, too? So, why not offer what the world so clearly and desperately needs; ANOTHER WEBSITE discussing women’s issues?
You won't be getting the "leading expert's" advice or comments on any given topic, but I think we all strive for perfection.
We're expertish.
And we all know that try as we may, most of the time "good enough" must take the place of "perfect,” because of necessity or because this is real life, and none of us walk around with our own personal lighting crew (although, considering my quest for the ultimate eye-cream, I am looking into that).
So what if we're not "The Ultimate" wife, mother, daughter, girlfriend, sister, gym-goer, lover, or entrepreneur?
We’re renaissance women.
We're working on it.
We're ultimish…which is damn fine, indeed.
